Talks with Style: Javier de Churruca’s Range Rover Classic

Classic cars, British style and the value of things well made.
For Javier de Churruca, a classic car is much more than a means of transportation. It is a way of understanding life.

His passion for cars began in childhood, and over the years, he found the car he had always imagined: a 1994 Range Rover Classic in Ardennes Green. It represents many of the things he values most: British elegance, tradition, quality materials and the character that only time can bring.

He found the Range Rover in 2018, with 165,000 kilometres on the clock and its original paintwork still intact. Rather than restoring it to an artificially perfect condition, he decided to preserve its small imperfections. For Javier, part of the beauty of a classic car lies precisely in its story.

And there is one thing he feels particularly strongly about: classic cars are made to be driven.

Driving that V8, listening to its sound, feeling the Range Rover’s distinctive suspension and seeing how people react as it passes by are just some of the small pleasures that make up the experience.

His passion for classic cars naturally connects with tailoring. Both worlds share the same appreciation for materials, craftsmanship, proportions and things that are made to last.

Perhaps that is why the Range Rover feels so naturally at home outside Casa Sartorial.

A conversation about cars, but also about style, tradition, community and the pleasure of things well made.
