Seiko 5 Sports gets two new limited-edition versions in collaboration with Rowing Blazers and Wind Vintage

increasingly common in recent years, and 2026 is proving to be another landmark year for such partnerships. Following a series of high-profile releases across the industry, Seiko has once again joined forces with Rowing Blazers and Wind Vintage to unveil the fourth chapter of their limited-edition collaboration. The new Seiko 5 Sports SRPM19 and SRPM21 continue the story first introduced several years ago, this time offering two case sizes and two entirely new colorways.

The origins of this partnership date back to 2021, when the trio's first collaboration attracted significant attention from collectors and watch enthusiasts. Although Eric Wind initially introduced Seiko and Rowing Blazers back in 2017, it was the original Rally Diver-inspired SRPG49 that laid the foundation for every release that followed.

The success of the collaboration stems from the unique combination of each partner's identity: Wind Vintage contributes deep expertise in vintage timepieces, Rowing Blazers brings its playful interpretation of classic prep style, and Seiko provides the technical platform and design heritage. The original collection became instantly recognizable for its checkerboard Rally Diver bezel, accompanied by additional zigzag and multicolored countdown bezel variations.

Unlike previous editions, where Wind Vintage played a key role behind the scenes, the latest collection places its influence much more prominently. Once again, the inspiration comes from the very first vintage watch Eric Wind ever purchased—a circa-1969 Seiko 5 Sports Rally Diver. This connection is reflected in the Wind Vintage logo engraved on the caseback, while the brand's identity also extends to the presentation box, marking a departure from earlier collaborations.

At first glance, the SRPM19 and SRPM21 clearly belong to the same family as the original 2021 release. Both draw inspiration from the iconic Rally Diver of the late 1960s while distinguishing themselves through fresh color palettes and updated sizing.

The SRPM21 features a 38mm case paired with a deep green dial. The green tone continues onto the sloped minute track around the dial's perimeter, while the signature checkerboard bezel once again serves as the defining design element. Alongside its three-link stainless steel bracelet, the watch is supplied with an additional blue nylon strap that introduces a bold contrast characteristic of Rowing Blazers' design language.

The larger SRPM19 retains a 42mm case, closely matching the dimensions of the original collaboration. Its defining feature is a vivid blue dial reminiscent of Yves Klein blue, with matching accents carried across both the minute track and checkerboard bezel. In addition to the steel bracelet, this version includes an extra green nylon strap that echoes the color of its smaller sibling.

Despite the difference in size, both models share the same design philosophy and technical specifications. They remain firmly rooted in the Seiko 5 Sports collection, featuring the familiar geometric hour markers, oversized triangle at 12 o'clock, broad hands, and the date window positioned at three o'clock. For this collaboration, the Super-LumiNova has been finished in a warm cream tone, creating a subtle patinated appearance that complements the surrounding minute track.

The central seconds hand is accented with rally-inspired red striping, while the Rowing Blazers logo is printed just above the six o'clock position.Powering both watches is the same automatic movement found throughout the Seiko 5 Sports lineup. Each model is equipped with Seiko's 4R36 caliber, featuring 24 jewels, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and a 41-hour power reserve.

Turning the watch over reveals further collaboration-specific details, including the Wind Vintage logo and a faucet graphic borrowed from Rowing Blazers' "Bath Club" motif.

The fourth installment of this partnership demonstrates that enthusiasm for the collaboration remains as strong as ever. The latest releases arguably showcase Rowing Blazers' colorful design philosophy more effectively than any previous edition, while also giving fans who missed the original 2021 collection another opportunity to own a watch inspired by the same concept.

Each of the two limited-edition models will be produced in 2,500 individually numbered examples and will retail for $495. The official launch is scheduled for July 9 at 11 a.m. EST, with availability through Seiko USA, Rowing Blazers, and the Rowing Blazers flagship boutique in New York City.
