Curses and Skelesys in the great line-up of the spring edition of Planet Wednesday

Updated: Mar 17

The beginning of spring encourages more energy and creativity. That's why, after the failed last party before Christmas, Planet Wednesday is preparing a new one with the beginning of spring, even better and more substantial, called Srebrne suze . On Friday, March 21st, at Zagreb's Kontesa (Klub Kazališta Komedija), at Cesarčeva 2, right next to Ban Jelačić Square, Curses, Skelesys, Le Chocolat Noir and Felver will play.

Always a welcome guest, Curses is fascinated by the relationship between man and machine, so it's no wonder that the driving force of his music is always the guitar and the rhythm machine. Everything about him is motivated by emotion. Although he is a champion of dark disco and new wave, he doesn't think too much about genres. He grew up listening to so many different types of music, but all of those sounds were connected to subcultures and the underground, in short, to the passionate scene.

One of the most exciting projects in the post-punk and wave sounds has emerged from Skelesys , an Argentinian producer, DJ and live performer based in Berlin. Inspired by everything from hard rock, science fiction and horror, he creates his own unique sound that crosses several genres. Primarily a live artist, Skelesys combines guitar with electronics and vocals on stage, but he is also a DJ inspired by dark sounds influenced by the 80s.

In Kontesa, he will perform in both roles. Along with an electrifying DJ performance, they will also put on a real live show. He will present his latest irresistible album, Fading Echoes, in which he navigates the twilight realms between lingering memories and the inexorable quest for self-renewal. Songs about endurance and introspection are a real mix of synth-pop, post-punk and gothic nuances. As he and his colleague Curses have a tendency towards darkness, the two have a new joint project Silver Tears, which they will also present with a live performance in Kontesa. Two icons of the post-punk scene plunged into the world of romantic darkness, drawing inspiration from the melancholic and dreamy sounds of the 90s. In shedding silver tears, with similar sounds, Le Chocolat Noir , the star of the last party at Jadran Film, and the indispensable host Felver, will compete brilliantly.

Tickets are available online.
