Zagreb, May 15, 2025 – This Sunday, May 18, a new event concept that connects all the senses – Senses – will be launched on the terrace of the famous Zagreb club Peti Kupe.

The series of events was launched by chef Boris Seili and mixologist Jan Martinović , under the pseudonym Jan Martiny , with the aim of combining culinary art, mixology and soulful house music, which will be served this week by the famous domestic duo Egzotika DJs . Every Sunday, other professionals from the hospitality industry will be guests and prepare new 'soul food' dishes and signature cocktails at promotional prices, while DJs from all over Croatia will entertain visitors with a selection of soulful house music. The event starts at 5:00 PM, and admission is free.
“After 15 years of a chef's career , a love of house music, traveling and living in several locations around the world, I channeled all my energy and love for my two greatest passions in life, house music and gastronomy, with my colleague and friend Jan Martinović, into the Senses project, which aims to preserve the foundations and legacy of house music through events inspired by the Chosen Few DJ's and NYC house block party movements.”
He points out one of the founders, Boris Seili, who will present some of his street food dishes this Sunday. Boris built his career in various renowned restaurants such as Dežman, French Bistro Alegrija, Tori, Izakaya, Lauba and worked as a chef on yachts and cruise ships. After more than a decade of working in various kitchens and on various continents, he describes his style as a fusion of Mediterranean and Pan-Asian cuisine.

Although he can most often be seen at Peti Kupe as a club manager, Jan Martinović has been in the hospitality industry for twenty years, building his career as a mixologist and head bartender in esteemed bars and hotels across Europe. Known under the pseudonym Jan Martiny in the cocktail world, his signature cards and menus can be found in famous venues all along the coast, including Noor Bar Split, Carpe Diem, Kalavanda Music Bar, Spirito Summer Place, El Toro and Bistro Revelin , and he has managed hotel bars in five-star resorts across Austrian ski resorts and Mallorca. Guided by the principle of creating umami flavors, Jan will prepare three signature cocktails for Senses, which will be available to try this Sunday only.

This week's mix of street food specialties and top-notch cocktails will be complemented by Zagreb's 'Exotic' duo Denis Štefanić and Marko Kalauz. In the last ten years of working together, they have played music at various daily, club and festival events. Their style is marked by disco, funk and jazz derivatives from all over the world, as well as classic house sound, which they regularly spice up with deep and raw rhythms.

The terrace of Peti Kupe is the ideal destination this Sunday after fulfilling your civic duty. More information about upcoming events for the end of the week can be found on Senes Croatia Instagram and Facebook profiles.
