Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz's rare 1959 Land Rover has arrived at the Bring a Trailer auction

A rare Land Rover owned by Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz has arrived at the auction, where interested buyers can purchase it through the Bring a Trailer platform. It is a 1959 model 109 Series II pickup, and it was brought for sale, as a consignment, by local partner Wob. The vehicle comes with confirmed provenance linked to famous former owners, including a signed portrait and a handwritten note from Craig himself confirming that the car was indeed owned by him.

The bodywork has been repainted in the classic bronze-green color, and the vehicle has a wheelbase of 109 inches. The equipment includes an Exmoor Trim canvas cargo area cover, a horseshoe mounted on the radiator grille, a rope winch and a side mirror mounted on the fenders. The wheels are steel, 16 inches in diameter and painted in body color, shod in 235/85 Cooper Discoverer STT tires, while an identical spare tire is attached to the hood.

The interior features a three-passenger bench seat upholstered in brown vinyl, three-point seat belts for the side seats, air vents in the dashboard, retractable windows, and a three-spoke banjo-style steering wheel set in front of the Jaeger instruments.

Power is provided by a 2.25-liter inline-four engine, factory-rated at 77 horsepower and 124 pound-feet of torque. Recent mechanical work includes the installation of a Carter carburetor, electronic ignition, alternator replacement, and engine gasket renewal. Power is transmitted to the road via a four-speed manual transmission, a two-range transfer case, and a floor shifter for the RoverDrive overdrive system.

The Land Rover is currently up for bid on the Bring a Trailer platform, with a current bid of $15,500.
