In the Wardrobe Building section, you can get a glimpse into my clients' wardrobes.

In Ábel FP's pictures, we present the clothes we designed together, while you can also get to know Gábor's taste and impressions through the interview.

Please introduce yourself in a few sentences.

Gábor Erdélyi: My name is Gábor Erdélyi and I was born and studied in Budapest, and - apart from a semester study trip with a scholarship and some work abroad, I have lived here all my life. I'm married, the proud father of a great son. As an engineer-economist, I work in my own business, and in addition to other side activities, I mainly deal with construction engineering consultancy, primarily in the field of reconstruction.

What is your favorite building?

Gábor Erdélyi: Wow, it's not easy, there are a lot of them and I can't even think of them all. Maybe the Pantheon in Rome.

Who is your favorite architect?

Gábor Erdélyi: Le Corbusier, I am a fan of modernism and he is one of its greatest figures, or rather pioneers.

What is your favorite architectural style?

Gábor Erdélyi: Bauhaus.

How would you describe your style? What influences and memorable moments shaped your taste? (study, travel, culture, etc.)

Gábor Erdélyi: I loved beautiful clothes even as a child, but at the same time, we couldn't really get hold of such things because of my parents' income and the historical environment (the shortage economy of the '80s and the difficulties in making ends meet brought about by the changes of the '90s). Sometimes gift packages arrived from relatives living in the West, and there were a few better pieces among the inherited items, which were always festive. I had the opportunity to shop on my own by the time I was a university student, and even then I valued the more classic pieces (fabric pants, shirts, jackets) more than the current fashion stuff. When I got to Paris with a scholarship, I was confronted with what the urban lifestyle is like on a Western metropolitan scale, of which, among many other aspects of culture, clothing was also a natural part. During later trips, discovering the style of the locals became part of the experience, from which I 'brought home' some elements that were close to me - at first almost nothing, later with more and more criticism. Primarily, of course, Italy has been/is at the forefront in this regard.

What is the piece of clothing that you can never have enough of in your wardrobe and why?

Gábor Erdélyi: I have to pay the most attention to the excessive proliferation of pants and shirts. Maybe because these are the two pieces that can be best adapted to my mood of the day (and last but not least, to the weather), and when I figure out what to wear most often that day, one of these two that I choose first, and all the others to that.

What is your favorite made-to-size garment and why?

Gábor Erdélyi: Wow, it's a difficult question again, because as a die-hard clothing lover for more than a decade, I started to turn to made-to-measure clothes and because of this, I chose the individual pieces quite consciously, so all of them are very dear to me. Perhaps the one that is the most is my summer mustard yellow / red herringbone patterned jacket: classic and special at the same time, in a slightly unusual but perfectly usable color.

What tips can you give to those who don't have a made-to-measure piece in their wardrobe yet?

Gábor Erdélyi: It is worth thinking about what your work and lifestyle are like and how formally you dress in everyday life. A good choice is one that you can use in everyday life and does not wait in the closet for months or years for the next festive occasion. Of course, it's worth having a good suit or jacket/pants combo made for your wedding (I would encourage everyone to do the latter), but you will only really appreciate it if you don't wear it once. The other is practicality: even if a three-piece, double-breasted Eszterházy checkered suit seems like a good idea at first, it may be a bit too much for a single piece. Let's say, as far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't recommend it for the first 10-15 orders. You can't go wrong with the classics and they can be perfectly spiced up with accessories.

What do your friends think about your clothing habits?

Gábor Erdélyi: They know that dressing is important to me, but it's not really a topic we talk about. Sometimes they smile, less often they praise a play. Sometimes they smiled at first, then they took over an element. For those who are also important, we are able to get involved in deeper analyses with them, but not in a large company.

Who are the 5 most stylish men (living or deceased)?

Gábor Erdélyi: Paul Newman, Serge Gainsbourg, Keith Richards, Jason Jules, Adam Rogers, Yasuto Kamoshita, Michael Hill, Tommaso Capozzoli, Yukio Akamine, Oliver Dannefalk, Gianluca Migliarotti... wait, this is going to be too much..!

Do you have other hobbies, what are they and what do they bring to your life?

Gábor Erdélyi: I really like sports, I run and ride a bike in my everyday life, but I also like horseback riding, kitesurfing, skiing and diving (mostly when traveling). Of course, there is no room for so many things besides family and work, so most of them remain 'sleeping cells'. Thanks to my dear wife, I started learning to play the guitar a few years ago, which is a completely new, but all the more fantastic experience that I have been wanting for a long time, but if she doesn't give me the initial push, I probably won't commit to it.
