This is not the first Piaget model to bear the name of Andy Warhol, nor the first collaboration inspired by his legacy. As part of the “Andy Warhol” collection, Piaget has already presented several interpretations, from models with meteorite and onyx dials to versions made in white, yellow or pink gold. Each of them reflects in its own way the connection between Warhol’s pop-art aesthetic and Piaget’s tradition.

Design
The black onyx dial serves as a backdrop for a collage of vibrant stone fragments such as pink opal, green chrysoprase and yellow serpentine. Visually, the dial is very dynamic with a 45mm 18K yellow gold case, making it a striking piece that echoes the models Warhol himself wore in the 1970s. The gold caseback bears an engraving of Warhol's self-portrait and his signature.

Mechanism
Inside the case is a movement developed by Piaget, the automatic Calibre 501P1. The calibre offers a power reserve of 40 hours, while the bridges and rotor are decorated with “Côtes de Genève” stripes.
