Bio je strastveni kolekcionar i posjedovao više od 300 satova, među kojima i nekoliko Piagetovih. Upravo iz te osobne povezanosti nastala je ideja da se stvori model koji bi bio vizualni odraz njegova duha i energije. Inspiracija za sat „Collage” dolazi iz Warholovih samoportreta i tehnike kolaža, osobito iz njegovih Polaroid radova iz 1986. godine.
